Job done for Marvin but Les Pruniers under pressure in Rudersberg

15/09/2026

The traditional “Mega Party” weekend celebrating the end of the season takes place just days away in Rudersberg 19-20 September.

Marvin Vanluchene and Ben van den Bogaart go to Germany safe in the knowledge the title is theirs, with absolutely nothing left to prove.

Another dominant display last weekend in the rugged conditions of Varsseveld sealed the fate of Killian and Evan Prunier in this year’s chase.

Furthermore, a torrid two days in the sand saw them slip to within one point of losing runners-up spot in the standings to Tim Prummer and Patrick Schneider.

An inspired ride in the second race prevented an almost certain slip to third, but they gave their best sand performance to date, recovering from way down the field to finish seventh, just two places behind the German/Austrian pairing.

This will now be the focus of the weekend with Prummer on native soil and Prunier feeling more at home with some hills, drops and jumps. Provided the weather stays fine, then the French Champions will be looking forward to the weekend as indeed are we.

Theirs is not the only nail-biter is the final standings. Dutch brothers Tim and Sem Leferink sit just eight points behind fourth-placed Britons Brett Wilkinson and Joe Millard, who claimed a magnificent podium last weekend. The Leferinks have had an up-and-down year, with too many problems and crashes, otherwise they would be in a far stronger position.

Wilkinson, on the other hand, sealed third place in the 2025 title chase on this track, but he is too far down on Prummer to repeat that feat. However, the Rudersberg track does tend to favour left sidecars, so this is going to be another fascinating shoot-out to savour.

Further down the order, just fourteen points split Davy Sanders, Dan Foden and Koen Grondman in the fight for sixth place. Foden’s young German passenger Noah Weinmann will want to impress at home, so there will be a lot going on.
