There is never a dull moment in this sport, and round six of this fascinating 2025 series is no exception. Hot from the track comes the revelation that defending champion Marvin Vanluchene, along with passenger Nicolas Musset is taking time out to remedy his mystery fatigue symptoms, maybe not returning before September. That means he will also miss Madona in Latvia, so if he had not already kissed his title goodbye, he certainly has now. We all wish him well in his recovery and sincerely hope he decides to give it one more shot when he is fully fit.
From bad to good news. Talented young Briton Dan Foden is teaming up with equally talented Noah Weinmann, due to Joshua (Noah’s brother and driver) suffering a back injury. Good left-handed passengers are as rare as chicken’s teeth, so even though it will be 435 days since Dan saw competitive action, this opportunity was too much for him to resist.
We also had a paddock-walk for the young hopefuls who are here for Sunday’s MSJ Kids-Sidecarcross Meisterschaft today. This is the German answer to the famous “kids and sidecars” programme in the Netherlands which has delivered the likes of red plate holder Koen Hermans to name just one superstar. The youngsters were be able to mix with their heroes and get a few tips!!! These are just some snippets from the Friday paddock, with the tension and excitement building.
We will bring you all the news as always here on www.fimsidecarcross.com and across all our social media outlets. Then you have live stream for qualifying Saturday and Grand Prix races Sunday.
